30 Rosenfeld Palace

Rosenfeld Palace. City palace of financier Ignaz Rosenfeld built in 1907 according to the design of Nicoletto Rauter. The building, with its high granite plinth, is in a monochromatic light grey colour that enhances the Art Nouveau stucco elements on the façade. The imposing façade is topped with a mansard roof and corner towers with decorative plumbing, sculptural and ornamental elements. The double staircase, marble columns, masquerades, rich decorative stucco decoration and large windows with etched glass create the most representative space in the interior of the palace. Decorative tiles with geometric and floral motifs, wooden inlaid panelling on the walls of the two salons, a piece of historicist furniture in the hall and a unique set of lamps are the only surviving fragments of the palace's original furnishings.
