Bench in Turany

Bench in Turany. The bench can be found on the edge of the park in the centre of the town. It is a nice place on the bank of the Studenec brook, where there are wooden statues of fairy creatures - Pramienek the gnome, Rosicka the fairy and Čľupek the waterman from the Turčianske kingdom of bees and clear water. The statues and the bench are the works of master carvers who created them during carving symposiums. They are held in Turany every year. Turany is situated in the foothills of the beautiful Krivánská Mala Fatra. A marked hiking trail leads from nearby Trusalova to the saddle below Chleb. From there you can reach the ridge of the national park and you can climb to Chleb and the highest peak of the Veľký Kriváň mountain range. From its top you can enjoy amazing views of Turiec, Veľká Fatra and the Western Tatras. But Veľký Kriváň offers a circular view with many other breathtaking sceneries.
