Listen to the guide

There is a volunteer fire brigade in almost every Slovak village. They are unique in that they operate regardless of religion, nationality or political affiliation. It is impossible to describe how great the importance of collectives was and is, but especially of individuals in saving people and property. In the Firefighters' Museum you can see horse-drawn, hand and engine-powered fire engines, firefighting equipment, uniform collections and fire engines. The exhibits are located in three different buildings. There is also a small zoo, barbecue areas, sports fields and a pumptrack track.
