The Orthodox synagogue is a simple building with a prayer room and other rooms. It was built in 1927 according to the designs of Engineer Armin Windlholz. The façade of the building is in the Israeli national colours, i.e. blue and white. From the street, the Ten Commandments can be seen on the facade of the building as stone tablets with text in Hebrew. Inside, the original furnishings have been preserved with the geometric decoration of the 1920s. The synagogue's prayer room is divided into male and female sections. In the back of the women's section there is an exposition of the Museum of Jewish Culture. The exhibits on display consist of sacred objects that are the property of the Jewish Religious Community in Žilina. In the basement there was originally a ritual purification bath, today there are commercial premises.
