Ripper House. The two-storey Art Nouveau house was built in 1899 by the Žilina Art Nouveau builder Nicoletto Rauter. In the same year the house was bought by Móric Ripper, the owner of a prosperous distillery company. Its speciality and trademark was 'Ripperovka - stomach medicinal bitters' and 'Ripper's medicinal borovička' (Ripper's medicinal borovička). In 1928, the first floor was converted into a restaurant and taproom. After the nationalisation of the distillery, the building was used for residential purposes. In 1961 the house underwent extensive renovation, an office building and workshops were added in the courtyard, the façade was changed in the front part from the street and the original wooden windows were replaced with aluminium ones. Later, the street balcony was also removed.
