The school building was built in 1936 during the construction of the Svojdomov district as an amenity for this new urban district. It is located on its southern edge opposite the Protestant church. The architect František Eduard Bednárik designed the T-shaped plan of the school building on an irregular plot. The simple mass of the block is dominated by large windows and an entrance with an awning. The front mass of the block was originally conceived with strip windows, but large window openings were implemented, which structure the entire façade. The latter attracts attention with its clean and functional architecture. The overall impression is enhanced by the small park in front of the building. The building currently houses a four-year grammar school.
