Simon Stein's villa. In the case of this residential villa, the architect was given an unusual brief: to design a house around a tree. Although the tree later fell, the remarkable work that connected the interior with the exterior was preserved. The small urban villa was conceived for its commissioner, Simon Stein. The architect Michal Maximilian Scheer realised the investor's requirements for modern living here. The conservatory with its projecting corner window in the cubic mass of the house forms the main detail of the architecture of the house. From the conservatory it was possible to step out onto the terrace, which was elevated above the surrounding terrain. The connection between the interior and the exterior makes this realization unique.
