Listen to the guide

Since 1921 Martin was the seat of the Bar Association, and three years later there was already an administrative building designed by Ján Palkovič, whose projects were awarded several times at various competitions and exhibitions. He designed a representative meeting hall and offices on the first floor of the building and apartments on the second floor. This three-storey building was built in neoclassical style. In 1960, the Bar Association donated it to the children. It is still associated with them today - in addition to several establishments, it houses a local leisure centre.
