Craftsman's house. One of the most distinctive buildings in the city, not only because of its location right on a busy intersection, but also because of the form and mass of the architecture. The Art Nouveau building with two side turrets was built between 1909 and 1910. The building originally bore the inscription 'Gabriel Baross' Craftsman's House'. The sculptural decoration by Dezidor Lányi in the middle of the façade depicts the standing figure of the "Iron Minister" Gabriel Barosso, who promoted the development of industry in Hungary and who was instrumental in the construction of one of the most important industrial enterprises in Žilina, the cloth factory, formerly Slovena. On the sides below the towers there are two reliefs with 17 figures depicting different crafts, e.g. blacksmith, millwright, miller, tailor, etc.
