House of Benusek

Although today the Slovak Matica is housed in several buildings, in its beginnings it had no place of its own. That is why it was provisionally housed in this building. Jozef Škultéty, who was its administrator for many years, also lived here. This listed building contains not only pleasant architecture but also exhibition spaces that tell the story of the history of the Slovak Matrix. You can also find here the works of both professional and young talented artists, and thus this building spreads the message of the Matica Slovenska even now, although it is no longer its seat.
