Listen to the guide

The Roman Catholic Church of St. Nicholas is a single-nave early Gothic building with a rectangular end of the presbytery and a small roof tower from the period around 1330. It is situated on an elevated position on the outskirts of the village. In the seventies of the fourteenth century, the sanctuary of the church was enriched with a very fine fresco painting of Italian origin. Its author, an Italian master, was already familiar with the style of the emerging Renaissance. Archaeological research and restoration work is currently underway in the church.
