Slovak Chamber Theatre - National House. Would you believe that this building was built by the inhabitants of the city? After they lost the under-construction building of the Slovak Matica, they decided to form a community, into which they invested finances, became co-owners of the building, and in a record 20 months the building stood, which had a multifunctional use: the amateur theatre performed in it, there were premises for a casino, a library, a bookshop, and the museum gathered collections there. In the eastern part of the building there was also a restaurant with accommodation on the ground floor. For 70 years, however, this national cultural monument has housed a theatre.
