Lučenec

Listen to the guide

For centuries, the Calvinist church has been the central landmark of the historical centre of Lučenec. The present neo-Gothic church was built in the middle of the 19th century by rebuilding an older Baroque church. During this reconstruction, the famous Lučenec gold treasure was found in the bowels of the building. The Lučenec golden treasure is now stored in the National Museum in Budapest.
